So on our little farm we have acquired a good amount of pets, which is horrible. And we are terrible at getting rid of animals we don’t need, See a little white dog on the side of the road - let's take it home! Got a pet pig you can’t keep? Caaaaall us (Note, thankfully, the voice of reason and sensibility won on this account). It has been long known that our family has a invisible sign beckoning all manner of strays and unwanted beasts to us. Yay. So today, I’ll be torturing you with a list of them and [some of] their names. Yaaaay. Also, I was supposed to take pictures of each animal for y’all, but I didn’t, because I’m good at not doing things (it’s one of my amazing talents ;P )
That title don’t lie folks! This business man found a way for God to ACTUALLY own his business - I don’t know about you, but I think that is pretty awesome! I love reading books that show our God’s greatness, and this book is one of those!
What is stuff?
Like, what exactly defines “stuff”? My handy dandy dictionary defined “stuff” as “a group or pile of things that are not specifically described.” OOOOORRR “used to speak in a general way about something that is talked about, written about, etc.” This has nothing to do with this post. Hey everyone! Yesterday was Father’s day and I hope y’all found a way to make the day special for your dad.
Since it was just Father’s day I figured it would be fitting to talk about our Heavenly Father and how He is the perfect Father. Job is one of my favorite books of the Bible, because you know what it talks about? DRAGONS (also referred to as a “Leviathan” in Job) and a Dragon is my ultimate favorite creature. How can you NOT like the Leviathan? I mean, helloooo, impenetrable scales, fire breath, massive creature of the sea! The Leviathan is awesome! So naturally, you can understand, I was eager to read Amanda Tero’s new short story, “Quest for Leviathan”.
Last week I spoke of walking as Children of the Light, this post is kind of a “part 2” to it. Today I’m going to list five “small” things we can do to shine our lights.
Happy Friday everyone! Today I’m super excited about this book review!
The other day Laura from Beautiful Things, sent me a copy of her book for me to give an honest review of. First of all I want to say, thank you Laura for letting me review your book - I think it is awesome that you are writing to bring God glory and I encourage you to keep up the great work! And now, without further ado, I present to you, EVEN IN THE GRAY: Imagine that nighttime never ended, that darkness was never challenged by the rising of the sun and there was no such thing as daytime.
We would sleep and wake in black, we wouldn't very well be able to see the colors or details of the world around us, the world would be cold and dismal. But we wouldn't know any better, because we would have only ever known the night. Just imagine what your life would be like, living in the dark. Because humanity is. I probably should write something about the beginning of the month and things to do or whatever. But instead, I'm going to tell you about my morning (don't worry, better posts are coming!) This morning began with a battle, an easy over-soon battle, but a battle nonetheless.
I rose at the break of dawn, an enemy intruder had entered our camp. I had to handle this situation with care, so as to not start a camp wide panic. Yes, this, was a delicate matter. Guessing the intruder would foolishly not leave quickly... I went back to bed. I got a good few hours of sleep and then rose, well rested, to meet my rival. A cockroach. The evilest and vilest of all nefarious bugs. It would DIE for entering my DOMAIN! |
