I LOVE books, ever since I could read (and before that I would look at the pictures and make up my own stories). Books are very special, they can change you if done right.
When I was younger people used to ask me "what type of books do you like?" Seeing I read all types of books I wasn't ever sure how to respond-I didn't just have one type of book I liked. So I'd always respond, "any good book" and they'd say, "yeah but what type do you most enjoy?" "the interesting ones." I'd say, they'd give up and go on their way (I'm sure a bit annoyed lol). Today I still stand to that, I enjoy good books, I enjoy interesting books that are well written (doesn't everyone?) But huzzah! I have narrowed it down a bit, I now can say I really like fiction! -er, I mean fantasy! Dragons, Griffens, worlds beyond ours - fantasy all the way (well, as long as they're interesting)! ~~~~~~ I grew up reading "The Chronicles of Narnia" and "Little House on the Prairie". I must have read these books hundreds of times - seriously, I read them over and OOOVER because I had nothing else. Just recently after we watched one of the movies of Narnia for my younger siblings, I actually had (keep in mind it had been years since last reading these) to ask if there was a movie of "The Magician's Nephew" because thinking back about it I kept seeing pictures of the places they went, like [spoiler] when Digory and Polly on the planet Charn find the room with the statues. - I really like my books and my imagination does too. I've already got two bookshelves in my room where I have exhibited my precious books, but one day when I have my own house I dream of actually having a library. Also, maybe it's not good for me to have all my books in my room like that-if I pick one up and glance inside it, even if I know what it's about, I'll be standing there for hours and get nothing done. ~~~~~ Also, I don't know if you've noticed, but I really really like quotes. |
