So on our little farm we have acquired a good amount of pets, which is horrible. And we are terrible at getting rid of animals we don’t need, See a little white dog on the side of the road - let's take it home! Got a pet pig you can’t keep? Caaaaall us (Note, thankfully, the voice of reason and sensibility won on this account). It has been long known that our family has a invisible sign beckoning all manner of strays and unwanted beasts to us. Yay. So today, I’ll be torturing you with a list of them and [some of] their names. Yaaaay. Also, I was supposed to take pictures of each animal for y’all, but I didn’t, because I’m good at not doing things (it’s one of my amazing talents ;P )
We’ve got three of them.
Star (mine) - A Palomino Quarter Horse
Kansas - A sorrel Quarter (mix) Horse
Maverick - A bay Tennessee Walker
Sandie (mine) - A black, white and tan Akita
Sofie - a black, white and tan Akita (Sandie's little sister)
Sadie - white and tan Anatolian/Great Pyrenees
Ginger - German Shepherd mix
Lightning - black and white terrier mix
Dot - black and white terrier mix
Spunky - black and white terrier mix
Macy - little white and tan mix (mamma to Lightning, Dot, and Spunky)
Maximus - weird grey yorky type mix
Sugar - black and white terrier mix
Cats (We've started this soda name theme for them):
Sox - old calico (we've had her since I was like, four - which is why she isn't named after a Soda).
Dr. Pepper (this is a pretty special kitty, he was the one to start the name theme and has quite a story)
Orange Crush - orange
Sun Kist - orange
Strays - unwanted =)
Rabbits (all of which are mine)
I’m not sure you really want me to go through all their names and everything, there are 15 of them (I run a rabbitry remember?) So how about this, if you want to hear more about my rabbitry, let me know in the comments below and I’ll do a separate post on it.
Birds (yes birds - bleh, I don’t like birds - but Guess who takes care of the birds?)
Bella - an African Grey Parrot
Birdie Birdie - white and blue Parakeet (note, this bird was named by like, a six year old or something)
2 Guinea fowl
What do you want to hear about? Dr. Pepper’s story? Want to hear more about my business? Got something else in mind? What pets do you have?
By the way y’all, tomorrow is the last day of the month, which means this is the last chance for anyone who hasn’t already, to sign up for the Torch - my monthly newsletter for the June release.
