Hey everyone! Yesterday was Father’s day and I hope y’all found a way to make the day special for your dad.
Since it was just Father’s day I figured it would be fitting to talk about our Heavenly Father and how He is the perfect Father.
Job is one of my favorite books of the Bible, because you know what it talks about? DRAGONS (also referred to as a “Leviathan” in Job) and a Dragon is my ultimate favorite creature. How can you NOT like the Leviathan? I mean, helloooo, impenetrable scales, fire breath, massive creature of the sea! The Leviathan is awesome! So naturally, you can understand, I was eager to read Amanda Tero’s new short story, “Quest for Leviathan”.
Last week I spoke of walking as Children of the Light, this post is kind of a “part 2” to it. Today I’m going to list five “small” things we can do to shine our lights.
Happy Friday everyone! Today I’m super excited about this book review!
The other day Laura from Beautiful Things, sent me a copy of her book for me to give an honest review of.
First of all I want to say, thank you Laura for letting me review your book - I think it is awesome that you are writing to bring God glory and I encourage you to keep up the great work!
And now, without further ado, I present to you, EVEN IN THE GRAY:
Imagine that nighttime never ended, that darkness was never challenged by the rising of the sun and there was no such thing as daytime.
We would sleep and wake in black, we wouldn't very well be able to see the colors or details of the world around us, the world would be cold and dismal. But we wouldn't know any better, because we would have only ever known the night.
Just imagine what your life would be like, living in the dark.
Because humanity is.
I probably should write something about the beginning of the month and things to do or whatever. But instead, I'm going to tell you about my morning (don't worry, better posts are coming!)
This morning began with a battle, an easy over-soon battle, but a battle nonetheless.
I rose at the break of dawn, an enemy intruder had entered our camp. I had to handle this situation with care, so as to not start a camp wide panic. Yes, this, was a delicate matter.
Guessing the intruder would foolishly not leave quickly...
I went back to bed.
I got a good few hours of sleep and then rose, well rested, to meet my rival.
The evilest and vilest of all nefarious bugs.
It would DIE for entering my DOMAIN!
Just posting this real quick, if you followed me today, my subscribe button wasn't working properly but I fixed it. So you can just redo it and it should work!
Thanks and sorry for the problems!
Happy Memorial day everyone who is reading this! I really wish I could ask something like, “what is your family doing for today?”.... But I can’t.
Well actually I can, I’ll just probably never get the answer. Aaaaahhhhh!
Apparently Weebly still hasn't fixed the comment bug, *sighs*, they said they have no sort of time frame of when it will be fixed so...no comments. *sighs* (I really like comments ;) )
So yeah….just thought I’d say that…. And happy memorial day again!
Aaaand, I guess I’ll give you a song to listen to, so that makes everything better right?
Okay, don’t let the name fool you-this is a GREAT book. That is, if you have any sort of sense of humor. If you don’t...weeeeell, you’ll probably not understand anything in this book and will probably have a horrible life, just sayin.
This book was written by Brandon Sanderson and is one of my favorites (if you don’t agree after reading it I’m disowning you).
So basically all you need to know is:
-Librarians are EEEEvil
-Everything you know about history is a lie
-your maps of the world are lies
-this is NOT a fictional book even though it is listed under fictional
-People with glasses are either evil, crazy, or a Smedry (which is pretty much the same thing as crazy)
-Authors are EEEEvil
-do not underestimate sand
-Smedrys are great at drawing fire (like, gunfire, and laser fire, and bombs, and anything else that wants to kill you or put you in a coma….).
-DO NOT SKIP TO THE BACK OF THE BOOK THE WORLD WILL END IF YOU DO.
When I was younger I only had a handful of actual books (and by that I mean, NOT “short story books”), out of those few were the books Little House on the Prairie and the Chronicles of Narnia. I would read these series over and over and ooover again.
I hadn't read the Narnia books in a very long time now, so a little time back, after we finished watching the Prince Caspian movie for my younger siblings, I decided it was about time to dust off the Chronicles of Narnia and read them again.
So the other day I finished the last book, (“The Last Battle”), and I couldn’t resist from getting on here and talking about it. Because, who DOESN'T like to talk about BOOKS?
A daughter of the KING, an ambassador of Truth, a soldier of the Cross.
